As an Artist Welcome Volunteer, you will be participating in one of the most critical roles in Art Hop:  providing a warm and helpful reception for artists who will be delivering their art for showing in the exhibit.

For many of the artists, this will be their first face-to-face interaction with Hill Country Arts Focus (HCAF), the group that is honoring them with a month-long showing of their work. For most, it will be their first visit to the Georgetown Public Library 

We will be relying on the Artist Welcome Volunteers to make the occasion highly positive.

Volunteer Duties

      As an Artist Welcome Volunteer, you will:

• Welcome artists as they arrive.

• Direct the artists to the appropriate art intake station

• Provide general information and answer questions the artists may have.

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly and dependable individuals

• Comfortable interacting with artists and the public.

• No previous art experience is necessary.

Time Commitment

      Shift Length: 2 – 4 ½ hours

      Two shifts are available on the afternoon of Sunday, Sep. 29.
